The Perfect Summer Dress By Hemsmith
Hey guys,
I know it’s only June, so technically summer hasn’t even started, but I am here to proudly proclaim that I have found the perfect summer dress. I am not naturally a dress person, but when it comes to summer, there isn’t anything as easy and comfortable as a nice summer dress.
Having a dress you grab, throw on, feel comfortable, and look stylish all summer long is an absolute must-have this season. This will be my go-to dress whether I’m going to a barbecue, concert, blogger event, or even a nice dinner downtown.
I gave this look more of an edgier appeal by pairing it with my chunky doc martins. If I were going to a barbecue or pool party, I would style it with a simple sandal and if I were wearing it for a night out I would go with a mule or a heel depending on the evening.
New York Fashion Week this year inspired me to pair a feminine minimal dress with a chunky edgy heel. I love the juxtaposition between the two. The contrasting styles is what really appeals to me when it comes to fashion.
The Chi Dress by Hemsmith offers a form fitting design to show off that summer body you’ve been working oh so hard to achieve (or maybe not). But this dress is perfect because the v-neck shape opens up your chest, allowing you to layer some summer chokers or play off the ultimate minimal look, like I went for here.
This dress is made from custom, mid-weight ribbed fabric that retains it shape even after multiple washes. This important to me because trust me this dress is going to get multiple washes this summer, especially since we are expecting some brutally hot temperatures.
One of my favorite things about Hemsmith, is that their pieces are always classic and minimal with strong attention to detail. The attention to detail is where they bring in their slight trendy touches. They call themselves the minimalist fashion brand for the modern person.
For example this midi dress is very minimal and classic in the length, but it also is very on trend with the ribbed fabric, and side slits. I am working on building my closet with classic pieces that I can wear from years to come.
As I’ve previously mentioned, I no longer buy seasonal clothing. I want to be able to wear my clothes all year long. That’s why Hemsmith is the brand for me, they don’t follow traditional fashion trends that create pieces solely for seasonal collections. Hemsmith specifically focuses on season-less clothing.
Even though I just went on and on about how this is the perfect summer dress, don’t think I won’t be wearing it through the Fall and Winter as well. For the colder months, I will rock this dress by throwing on my favorite cropped leather jacket, with a cute pair of booties.
Stayed tuned, and you may just see that exact outfit coming this Fall.
