Non-Seasonal Attire l How to Wear a Jumpsuit All Year Long
As always, thank you for stopping by and reading my post! I wanted to share with you one of my favorite summer outfits thus far. This jumpsuit is a slightly more mute shade of millennial pink. If you type in “trendy pink” on Google, it populates the word “Millennial Pink” (that’s how I figured out what it was called).
I just don’t ever remember Google being this smart, or us ever having a color that specifically was made up and named because of how trendy it has become. For those of you hearing about this color for the first time, here ya go! However, apparently not everyone agrees on one specific shade of pink, so it could be any shade of pink along these lines. However, yes one of the main reasons I love this jumpsuit so much is because of the color! Nude became super popular not too long ago and I feel like this subtle pink shade is the new nude. Not only is this jumpsuit millennial pink, but, it also has very slight pin stripes down it. These pin stripes add a subtle pattern and depth to the jumpsuit.
I also am a huge fan of the style of jumpsuit. I love that it is more of an overall type style! I paired it back to this super cute and extremely comfortable Forever 21 graphic tee. The graphic tee is also only $10! I couldn’t believe it, I almost bought multiples.
I love the graphic tee for a casual street style look, but you could do a lot with this style of jumpsuit. If you were going out for the night, you could wear a cute bralette or something that shows a little less skin underneath with a big statement earring.
You could also add a long sleeve ruffled top, or a turtleneck underneath for the fall. If you really wanted to layer up, you could style a leather jacket or a sweater over top of the jumpsuit. In the past, jumpsuits used to only be for the summertime, but it seems like now a days a lot of fashion rules are dissolving and I love it!
As long, as you aren’t wearing shorts in the snow, or a turtleneck and coat in the summer, you’re pretty much good to go. I don’t think fashion should have rules, so I am all about this new no rule thing. I do think some things look better with guidelines in place, but if you want to be fully creative than avoid the rules.
I love having a wardrobe that isn’t seasonal. I don’t want to have to put clothes away for each season that changes. Don’t get me wrong there are some obvious pieces that don’t work all year long, but for the most part, you can try to aim toward transitional items.
So your winter parka is definitely something you can’t make work in the summer, and your white romper is something you shouldn’t try to make work in the winter. However, a jumpsuit like this, all kinds of denim, and tops you can be pretty transitional with.
My leather jacket is an item I can wear 3/4 months of the year. If it’s 80+ degrees outside, I can’t make it work, even if I’m in the air conditioning, I just think it’s too much. With that being said, yes I am currently going through withdrawals.
