I used to think I wasn’t very good at thrifting and that is exactly why I avoided it. I began to realize thrifting is more about finding an item that works and styling it in a way that makes it look like it wasn’t thrifted. The coolest thing about thrifting is that usually your item will be a complete one of a kind. Thrifts stores don’t all carry the same product like most retailers.

Holiday Red

‘Tis the season to be bold! Use a pop of red to add some personality and flare to your casual look this winter season.

Now here is a true pop of color! I always joke around about using a navy or tan as a “pop” of color because they are just as neutral as black, whites and greys. There is no better way to nail a pop of color like going with a bold red.

2017 is yet another year that is going to embrace a pop of red. Shoes, handbags, scarves, and even a hoodie like such are all great touches to any outfit.

Red is the best pop of color because it makes the biggest and best statement. Red is the color of blood and fire and therefore is associated with energy, power, strength, passion, desire, and love.

Work Inspired Street Style Trends

This blog post is very, very different because I never thought I would choose to wear dress pants outside of a work event. However, dress pants are well on their way for #1 trend this season. I’ve never minded the print of these pants, it was always the style and comfort of dress pants that made me cringe.

If I ever had to wear them I was always counting down to when I could take them off. But this year, the designers have hit the nail on the head. Starting with making them high waisted. I just think every trouser looks cuter when it is high waisted. It makes your legs longer and your waist slimmer.

Suspender Jumpsuit

This olive green jumpsuit is a new staple item to my wardrobe. Many of you may think it is too trendy to be a statement piece, I was under that impression in the beginning. The more I started to play around with it, the more I saw the potential it had to be worn so many different ways.

In these pictures, I styled it a bit dressier for a night out. The jumpsuit is meant to hit right underneath your chest so it definitely cannot be worn alone. In order to make it a bit sexier, since the jumpsuit is so wide, I decided to wear this bralette.
