Sportswear for Women Fashion

One of my favorite parts of styling is creating unique combinations that I haven’t seen before. I like to incorporate trends, but in a different way. In the past I would have never thought of pairing a leather skirt with a tee shirt and now it’s one of my favorite looks. This outfit is sporty in regards to the converse shoes and striped tee. I gave it a chic twist by adding a leather skirt, and fringed purse. The plaid shirt just gave the ensemble more depth and added on to the casual vibe. I love the unique ombre of the plaid as well as the longer length. I encourage you to mix and match different tops and bottoms that you wouldn’t naturally pick to put together. It makes styling a lot more fun and you can end up with multiple outfits while using the same pieces!

A huge trend recently has been sportswear. Victoria’s Secret even ditched their swimwear line to focus more on their athletic line. Sportswear is huge, people who don’t work out are even rocking their chic sportswear. Free People launched their FP Movement Line in 2012, and they were one of the leaders. It seems as if almost every brand will have a sportswear line at some point. Although I am not wearing leggings and a sports bra in this post, I combined my athletic taste with my casual chic street style.

This graphic tee and western scarf combo is one of my favorite trends. I bought this scarf for only $7.00 at Nordstrom this past week. I love the scarf because not only can you wear it as an accessory around your neck, you can also tie it on one of your purses for another touch of detail. What I love about graphic tee’s is how trendy and comfy they are. This summer you will definitely be seeing a lot more graphic tee’s on my blog.

SPRING STYLES

Striped Romper

I have always had a love-hate relationship with rompers. In fact, I think most people do. It is difficult to find a romper that is flattering on most bodies. I like to wear pieces that can be easily transformed or worn again in a different way and I feel like sometimes I lack that flexibility with rompers. This romper is absolutely perfect by itself, but of course, I wanted to add some more details. Unfortunately, we are still having a pretty cold spring, so wearing this romper by itself would not have been the most comfortable choice. I decided to pair it with this black leather jacket, a skinny neck scarf, and booties. Adding these pieces transformed this chic romper into a completely bold ensemble. If I wanted to dress up this romper, I would lose the leather jacket and add heels or over the knee boots for the winter time. This romper can easily be worn during any season of the year which is a huge perk. The print on this romper is to die for. Typically if I were to purchase a romper I would stick with a neutral so I could wear it more often, but this printed romper is the ultimate exception.
