The essential pieces to my wardrobe this winter have been this Brandy Melville long sleeve ribbed crop top (great for minimal detailing) and these BDG high waisted black pants from Urban Outfitters. I love this combination 1. because it is all black of course, so it goes with everything and 2. because it is very warm, but fun because you still get to show a little bit of skin even though it is winter time.

In this shoot, I paired it with a shaggy black fur vest, but I have also worn this basic crop top and pants with a flannel (on or tied around my waist), under a sleeveless sweater, with a patterned scarf, or even with a jean jacket. These basic pieces can be paired with almost anything, and provide the warmth necessary for these cold months.
