Things To Do In Cincinnati This Weekend

As many people know by now, Cincinnati is one of the most underrated cities. Cincinnati has a lot to offer including shopping, restaurants, attractions, and some of the best museums in the country. However, if you are looking for more of a low key and relaxing weekend, I suggest booking a weekend retreat with Red Whale Rentals and The Yoga Bar.

Whether you are a native Cincinnatian or you’re traveling from out of town, this collaboration between The Yoga Bar and Red Whale Rentals is unbeatable. When I think about my bachelorette party, or a girl’s weekend, I always think about where I can go out of town. After I calculate traveling, taking off work and expenses, I am always reluctant to book this weekend getaway.

Last year I treated myself to an incredible staycation at Hotel Covington, and it’s highly recommended if you need “me time”, but by the end of the weekend I was just missing my girls! This retreat weekend retreat was the perfect combination of relaxing while getting to spend quality time with the ladies apart from our men.

This retreat could have been an entire weekend, but we crammed it all into a Saturday afternoon. We started the afternoon off by meeting at The Cottage, which is the cutest rental space in all of Cincinnati. This space is available through RedWhaleRentals.com as well as airbnb.

This open-concept, two-floor event space is ideal for private events, showers, retreats, photo shoots, meetings and more. With a wet bar, ample counter-service space and seating, private outdoor space, enjoy the luxury of hosting in this beautiful space. Located in the heart of Mt. Adams’ square, a convenient and charming location just steps from the city’s most stunning views.

This space was the perfect area for a full yoga class taught by The Yoga Bar. We cleared away some of the furniture, set up our yoga mats, and spent the afternoon being active and enjoying relaxation at the same time. This yoga class was the perfect challenge, without being too invigorating.

After the yoga, we took a short walk to another Red Whale space where we enjoyed an avocado toast bar catered by a private in house chef, and enjoyed DIYing our own body scrubs.

This retreat was the perfect mix of both relaxation and fun activities. I get bored if I sit around too much, so these light activities kept the day exciting without exhausting me at the same time. I’ve always been one to think that I would go out of town for my Bachelorette party or that a staycation in Cincinnati involved just going out to lunch with friends, but this weekend completely changed my mind.

I highly recommend reaching out to Bija Retreats for your next weekend trip in Cincinnati. Leave all the stress of planning and hosting to them! Just show up, invite your girlfriends and enjoy yourself.
